• Imagine a shared ledger like a Google Doc, but instead of being stored on one server, it's distributed across a network of computers. This network keeps a record of transactions (like financial exchanges, contracts, or data transfers).
• Each transaction is grouped into a block, and each block is linked together using cryptography, forming a chain. This chain makes it tamper-proof, meaning it's nearly impossible to alter or delete past entries.
• No single entity controls the blockchain, meaning it's decentralized. Instead, a network of computers (called nodes) work together to validate and verify transactions. This creates a system that's transparent, secure, and resistant to fraud.
